A New Year and a day closer

Supporters of Barack Obama have good reason to be happy this new year's day, two days before the Iowa caucus.

Although it's not over till the butter cow lady sings, Obama drew a big crowd of 1,000 in Amers last night, and topped the important Des Moines Register poll. He is again the candidate with the all-important momentum.

What's left now is execution, getting his young first-time supporters to the caucus on time.
