According to reports in The Swamp, a campaign fundraiser Monday evening in London attended by Michelle Obama was veiled in secrecy with guests apparently not wanting their identities known.
The event was closed to the press, and a Tribune reporter interviewing supporters in the Landmark Hotel lobby was reportedly rebuffed by a campaign aide.
Barack himself was attending a fundraiser in Madison, Wisconsin on Monday where supporters paid $500-a-head. About 130 people showed up including Gov. Jim Doyle, who however has not yet endorsed Obama.
Obama's first quarter and second quarter funds topped those of other candidates but he fell behind Hillary Clinton in third quarter fundraising. However, he still has the most money of any candidate left to spend for the primary.
