New Campaign Offfice Opens in Denver
Colorado is one of the more important battleground states that Obama and McCain will be vying for.
A poll today suggests that Barack Obama supporters are much more enthusiastic than those of John McCain. An Associated Press/Yahoo News poll shows that 38% of Obama's supporters say the election is exciting compared with only 9% of McCain's.

Obama opening office in Terre Haute, Indiana
Barack Obama will be setting up a campaign office right here in Terre Haute. Proving even more how important the Hoosier state as well as the Wabash Valley is in the 2008 Presidential Election.
"I think it's going to be an exciting time between now and May 6th in Terre Haute," said Andrew Conner.
In about one week, one of these downtown buildings will be the new home for Barack Obama's campaign office. Indiana's primary is not known for casting crucial votes, but Obama's decision to head to Valley shows Terre Haute's got something to offer.
"I think that the candidates feel like this area has something of value to them," James Mann, Terre Haute South Teacher.
"The candidates are taking notice of Terre Haute."
With several local colleges and universities, Terre Haute is a great place to target voters especially young ones.
"We've been doing tons and tons of voter registrations we've had over 200 kids register to vote."
Right now Obama campaign officials are looking at a few downtown Terre Haute properties. The office is slated to open on March 24th.

New Mexico fires up for Barack Obama
A New Beginning: New Mexico Officials Endorse Barack
by Zach Edwards, Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at 07:31 PMHere at the Obama campaign in New Mexico, things are starting to heat up. Today, 17 elected New Mexico leaders publically endorsed Barack Obama for President. We have been seeing a tremendous outpouring of volunteers who have been mobilizing and organizing our grassroots for months, and who have committed to getting their friends, family, and neighbors to stand up for change on February 5th. Our new offices are filling with volunteers and it’s clear that New Mexico is ready to get involved and take back Washington with Barack Obama.
The endorsements today demonstrate our broad geographic support across the state, and the desire for change that is sweeping across the Land of Enchantment. The officials include State Treasurer James Lewis, former State Representative Patsy Trujillo, former U.S. Senator Fred Harris, and House Majority Leader Ken Martinez.
"I admire Barack Obama because he doesn't just tell people what they want to hear but what they need to know even when it is not politically popular," said State Treasurer, James Lewis. "I'm supporting Barack Obama because he has a compelling vision to change the way Washington works so that it finally addresses the problems Americans face," said Lewis.
"After Bill Richardson ended his bid for president I took a careful look at all of the candidates. But Barack Obama stands out because he has proven that he is the only candidate who can unify the country to bring change - and bring all Americans together regardless of race, party, or creed, and I am proud to support his campaign," said former Representative Patsy Trujillo.
"Our economy is in peril and Barack Obama, months ago, laid out a plan to get the economy moving by helping the middle class families that really need it, combating the mortgage crisis and reinstating faith in our government," said State Representative Peter Wirth.

Campaign opens Utah office
I have a feeling the offices also help with the grassroots fundraising effort. Everyday supporters often contribute more, both monetary and in-kind contributions, when they are actively involved in a ground campaign.
