Our Iowa MySpace team introduced Barack's Iowa Presidential Dialogue at Coe College sponsored by MySpace and MTV. The forum will stream live on MySpace.com, MTV's ChooseOrLose.com and MTV Mobile, airing at 7 p.m. ET that evening on MTV. The dialogue will be moderated by MTV News correspondents Gideon Yago and Sway Calloway, as well as WashingtonPost.com political reporter Chris Cillizza. It was a chance for Obama, then an Illinois state lawmaker, to socialize over cards and cigars (or, in his case, cigarettes). It also was a way for this son of an African goat herder, this Harvard-educated lawyer, author and professor to show he could be just one of the guys.
