Obama's health care benefits activated



Many health care benefits are kicking in today:

  • Companies can no longer cap lifetime benefits.
  • Children with preexisting conditions can no longer be excluded from coverage.
  • Certain preventative health measures are now offered without extra fees.
  • Children up to 26 are now covered by their parents' policies.
  • Consumers can appeal insurance company decisions to a third party.
