Kagan begins confirmation process

Elena Kagan President Barack Obama's nominee for Supreme Court Justice was followed by the press today as she made her rounds around Washington.

Some progressives are resisting Kagan's confirmation by the Senate mostly because they are unsure of where she stands on many issues. Issues have also been raised about the fact that if Kagan is appointed there will be no Protestants serving as U.S. Supreme Court Justices despite that group constituting the majority of the population.

Most analysts though believe that Kagan will not have any trouble in winning a Senate confirmation.
