Obamas' dog choice imminent

Ok, the suspense is nearly over.

President-elect Barack Obama said Sunday that the family has narrowed the search for the new puppy down to two breeds -- a Portuguese Water Dog or a Labradoodle.

A Labradoodle is a mix between a Labrador Retriever and a Poodle. Both the Labrador Retriever and Portuguese Water Dog were favored at one time among seafarers and fishermen.

I think he should seriously consider an airdale terrior.
They are very loyal and friendly as well as superbly courageous.
They're not afraid of anything and would protect those two precious little girls with its very life.

Should Obama get a labradoodle? We did. First-generation labradoodles (mom lab, dad poodle) like ours do shed some. This is a popular dog. I doubt he could get one at a shelter. Want to see puppy pics?
