President Barack Obama's 2012 reelection campaign is making a push on social media to attract more volunteers to the campaign.
An ABC News article discusses whether or not the campaign will be able to attract back many of Obama's supporters from the 2008 campaign.
Some 1,600 new volunteers are expected to broadcast over Twitter to raise awareness of the campaign. The president already has more than 8.4 million Twitter followers -- more than any other elected official. The campaign is promising to retweet the best tweets posted by Summer Organizers.
Last week, Obama added more than 162,000 new Twitter followers demonstrating the growing strength of volunteer efforts.
