House vote looms on heathcare bill
Reports differ as to how the healthcare reform package is doing in the House of Representatives. According to some sources, Speaker Nancy Pelosi is only a few votes from passing the Senate bill as it stands now.
Probably that would indicate that Pelosi should be able to muster enough votes if she promises certain changes in the Senate version through reconciliation.
The biggest issue right now among the Democrats is whether or not to include abortion in the reform bill. Some conservative Democrats still continue to oppose any bill that provides support for abortion.
