Hillary Clinton to undergo surgery on right elbow

Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton will have to undergo surgery to repair her right elbow, that she broke on Wednesday evening while heading to the White House, the State Department said.

The surgery is scheduled for sometime next week. She canceled her public appointments for today.

President Barack Obama was one of the first well-wishers to call her late last night.
