Bin Laden deputy denounces Obama's Egypt visit

As U.S. President Barack Obama prepares to give his campaign promise speech in Cairo, al-Qaeda's number two leader slammed Obama's Middle East tour.

Ayman al-Zawahiri said Obama's "bloody messages" could not be hidden by "polished words".

During his presidential campaign, Obama promsed to make major speech on US-Muslim relations in some city in the Islamic world.

Al-Zawahiri called the U.S. president "that criminal who came seeking, with deception, to obtain what he failed to achieve on the ground after the mujahideen ruined the project of the Crusader America in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Somalia".

Obama travels to Egypt on Thursday, where he will deliver his speech at Cairo University.

A message attributed to the deputy leader of al-Qaeda has denounced Barack Obama as a "criminal" on the eve of the US president's Middle East trip.
