Obama girls setting fashion trends

Michelle, Malia and Sasha Obama are lighting up the fashion world after their inaugural appearances.

The First Lady wore dresses made by Isabel Toledo and Jason Wu, while the kids sported J. Crews designs.

"Michelle Obama is a new fashion icon. She is accessible and stylish. She is 'everywoman,'" Stephanie Soloman, Bloomingdale's vice president for fashion direction told Foxnews.com. "She has fashion flair and the ability to wear an outfit so that her personality shines through. Clothes do not wear her, she wears the clothes. And her choice of new and up-and-coming American designers is a real boost to the entire American fashion industry."

"Malia and Sasha's style will definitely influence tween girls," said youth fashion expert Denise Restauri, CEO and founder of AllyKatzz.com in a CBS News interview. "They're already starting to talk about it. They're talking about coats they wore to the inauguration. They're talking about what they wore to the concert. Girls will start wearing what they are wearing, because they are the new celebrities."
