Barack Obama to nominate Hillary Clinton on Monday

Democratic officials said that Barack Obama will announce his new security team including Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State.

Obama is also expected to announce that he is keeping Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates, a move that is angering his more progressive supporters. He will reportedly appoint General James L. Jones, a retired Marine commandant and NATO supreme commander, as his national security adviser; with Eric H. Holder Jr. a former deputy attorney general, as his choice for attorney general and Gov. Janet Napolitano of Arizona as secretary of homeland security, the sources said.

Susan E. Rice, a campaign adviser and former assistant secretary of state , will be nominated as ambassador to the United Nations, a position that will be elevated to cabinet level.
