Press confirms Joe Biden as VP Pick

The Associated Press, CNN, MSNBC and Fox News are all confirming that Sen. Joe Biden will be Sen. Barack Obama's pick for VP running mate claiming unnamed Democratic sources. If true, this would preempt the text messaging surprise promised by the Obama campaign.

Secret Service have reportedly been dispatched to pick up Biden, but media coverage shows the house surrounded by reporters.

Biden is one of the most experienced senators with expertise in foreign policy.

More analysis later. However, we should note that no official announcement has been made yet.

If you're a Democrat you already know this election season is historic on many levels. What may not be clear to many Americans is that Hillary Clinton and her supporters have not gone away graciously or united the party even though Barack Obama clearly has more delegates and super delegates for the Democratic nomination when Clinton "suspended" her campaign June 3rd.

It may surprise you to learn Clinton supporters have mounted a nasty fight - complete with lies and manufactured conspiracy theories to create havoc at the Democratic Convention which begins in Denver this Monday, August 25th. Clinton could've have told these supporters emphatically to get behind the candidacy of Obama - but she failed to do that - so great is her ambition to be President no matter what the American people say they want.

After fighting and pushing - as of Friday 8-22, both Senator Obama and Senator Clinton will be placed in nomination in Denver and a roll call vote will take place on the convention floor. Some Clinton supporters don't seem ready to deal with the fact that their candidate simply didn't get enough votes. So they fought on - putting the election of a Democrat in the White House at serious risk.

The Super Delagate vote at the convention and will choose who becomes the nominee of the Democatic Party. Super Delegates are mostly elected officials and party operatives obliged to consider the opinions of their constituents.

If you don't want the convention next week hijacked by the candidate who did not get the greatest number of votes and delegates tell them what you think and how to vote. They're supposed to vote in accordance with their constituents - so be sure to tell the delegates in your state.

Click on this link and let your Super Delegate hear from you. This spring's primaries were hard-fought to bring Barack Obama so far. We actually have to chance to have a president who will make positive changes in the way politics are played.
Here's the link.

Top Three things to Know Before Voting OBAMA:
(1) Obama needs to prove he is a US citizen - http://tinyurl.com/Prove-UR-US-OK
(2) Obama is not an alternative to right wing McCain
(3) Read the book "Obama the Postmodern Coup" to see he will support war and repressive social policies

BITTER WHITE FOLKS FOR OBAMA: A NEW BLOG

My family were part of the 41 million who migrated from the Appalachian/Southern region to the Midwestern states in the postwar period: precisely the demographic from which support for Obama (and progressive politics as such) is supposed to be non-existent. But it was the economic policies of Reagan and the Clinton and Bush dynasties that produced such atrocities as the 2,200 square miles of strip-mining in Appalachia that have put thousands out of work, reduced the average income to the level of Mexico and forced migration to the North in search of jobs. So of course Appalachian and Midwestern communities are "bitter" - and it cannot be denied that more than a few have been mislead into believing that these elites somehow hear their voices. With the increasingly patronizing tone of the Republicans however, many are becoming unconvinced - at least Obama speaks about the situation as it really is: as he put it in that same speech, "you can go into the toughest neighborhoods, you know working-class lunch-pail folks, you'll find Obama enthusiasts. And you can go into places where you think I'd be very strong and people will just be skeptical".

Great e-mail regarding the smears:

Dear Friend:

I received your email with the attachment about Sarah Palin. While this report might be scary and threatening to some, to me it sounds like the same the kind of trash written about Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton and even Barack Obama. However, since the Clintons are no longer in the race we can leave them out. But what I wonder is why it’s okay to say that Palin is a fundamentalist Christian but not okay to ask why Obama spent twenty years in the pews of Jeremiah Wright’s intolerant church? And why is it okay to allege that Palin wants to destroy Alaska’s wildlife but not okay to ask if Obama plans to support Hamas instead of Israel? And people can can accuse Palin of racism based on rumor and hearsay but not hold Obama accountable for playing the race card, quoting Malcolm X and accusing good people, particularly the Clintons, of racism. While I may not agree with Palin’s politics, I am unmoved by the smear campaign launched against her. Please do not send me any more political emails. While this e-mail goes to great lengths to appear to be politically correct and to be doing me a favor, it’s actually savaging someone’s reputation based on shoddy evidence or outright lies. After forty years of voting for the Democratic candidate for president, I want you to know that these sexist and hateful lies against Sarah Palin you forwarded go against the reason I am a Democrat. Therefore, under no circumstance will I be voting for Obama.

Best Regards

Why a vote for Obama is un-American:

1. Life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness – Barack Obama supports abortions into the third month of development. Interesting how killing a three month old fetus is okay, but Sarah Palin shooting wolves (which by the way, is a way of life in Alaska) is viewed as evil. Tell the woman who cannot have children that the child moving in someone else’s womb is not a living being.

2. Amendment #1 - Freedom of expression. How is it that Obama is idolized in the American media (he's a freaking lawyer people - they tell you what you want to hear), yet they unfairly attack McCain who has served our country with his own blood (after being tortured for five years) and serving in our senate since 1981. He has a record of crossing party lines and standing up to special interest groups. Yet, liberal media wingdings, like Whoopie Goldberg, can roll her eyes during an interview with McCain, while sipping tea and talking fashion with Michelle Obama. Doesn’t everybody remember when Elisabeth Hasselbeck was grilled for exposing the fact that Michelle Obama would only answer questions she knew in advance. Why is it that the media didn’t even question Whoopie’s disrespect towards a guest? How about NOprah Winfrey??? I'm fine with the fact that she supports Obama. But when she says she will not use her show as a political platform, I expect her to keep her promises. Two weeks after the Sarah Palin debacle, where viewers questioned why she would not interview Palin, she invites Bill Clinton on her show? Isn’t he like on tour right now preaching to the choir?…Then when questions emerge about a possible bailout for the financial markets, she invites "experts," who just happen to share Barack Obama's views. Hmmm....that doesn't sound right to me...stupid b. It’s okay for Matt Damon to make fun of Palin, but heaven forbid someone pick on the black man. Just wait America, political correctness is going to take on a whole new meaning.

3. Amendment #2 – “A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed. (Right to bear arms.)” According to the NRA, Obama would ban the use of firearms for home defense (try taking away my guns Obama). He would also restore voting rights for five million criminals including those who have been convicted of using a gun to commit a violent crime. Check out nra.org.

4. Amendment #10 – “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people.” (Limited Government). Our Founding Fathers knew the danger of big government. Under Obama, government will control more and more of our lives. His health care plan – put everyone under the same plan. Hmmm…how can one argue with free health care?? I support health care for every American citizen. But everyone, under the same plan??? What happens, heaven forbid, if your parent or loved one is in dire need of a heart transplant? Do we wait while partisan politics fight over who has first dibs on that new heart? Do we let the civil rights lawyer, Barack Obama, decide that the illegal immigrant should be covered under our system?? That my neighbor’s life is more important than mine?? John McCain understands the Health Care crisis, but he also understands the value of the free market system. He would provide each taxpayer with a tax credit to find their own provider, based on his or her family’s medical needs. America is about freedom of choice…I know where I want to go if I break my arm, deliver my first child, or send my family, should I have to make a medical decision for them. Do not tell me which hospital I am assigned to…and believe me, once government gets their hands on health care, it will be all tied up in red tape. Just look at what’s happening to the proposed financial bailout. People’s retirements are in limbo and partisan politics have blocked any sort of agreement. Where’s the personal responsibility…for government, who actually caused this mess, for banks, who gave out risky loans, for the individual homeowner who took out a bigger mortgage than they could afford, for the civil rights lawyers, who demanded all people, regardless of race, color, etc. etc. should receive a mortgage, even if it was one they could never afford.

Recently an insurance company nearly wind up....

A bank is nearly bankrupt......

How it affect you? Did you buy insurance? Did you buy mini note or bonds?

They bailout trouble finance company, but they will not bail out your credit card bills……You got no choice, but you can prevent similar things from happen again……

Who fault?

The top management of the Public listed company ( belong to "public" ) salary should be tied a portion of it to the shares price ( IPO or ave 5 years ).... so when the shares price drop, it don't just penalise the investors, but those who don't take care of the company.....If this rule is pass on, without any need of further regulation, all industries ( as long as it is public listed ) will be self regulated......

Sign a petition to your favourite president candidate, congress member, House of representative again and ask for their views to comment on this, and what regulations they are going to raise for implementation.....If you agree on my point, please share with many people as possible....

I can't support Obama because he supports Shepard Fairey. A criminal who is one reason why the US spends over 10 billion per year on street clean nationwide. How can Obama praise an artist who puts stickers over stop signs risking the lives of citizens?

Most people don't realize that the artist behind the HOPE poster is a criminal who has been arrested dozens of times for damaging public property. He was arrested after the Democrat convention this year for spray painting a wall. Not to the mention that he has stolen images from other artists.

Look it up. Know your facts. And ask why Obama would associate with Fairey.

For one person’s perspective on how you can make a decision to support Obama AND vote for John McCain, see the YouTube video below:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PpsdKUQ1nKA

Feel free to forward this to any "undecided" voters you know of. This will be a VERY close election and we need every single vote we can get. Demonizing Obama will get us a few votes (and also lose us at least a few votes) but I hope that a rational, positive thought process will persuade a few people who are still on the fence.

I do not support Obama, because he does not meet the constitutional standard. He is not a natural born citizen. He offers a pretty, little story and refuses to refute these arguments in court. Don't vote for someone if you cannot answer this. Study the facts. Heavy research will prove. Whether you vote for him or not, you should know his record well so you can at least defend him. I dare you to research...somebody prove me wrong, because I hope I am. I'm tired of the Republicans, but WE still need to follow the constitution. If Barack Obama cannot fulfill the basic 3 requirements, he should withdraw. Any TRUE American would gladly and simply give the courts original documents. What is he hiding...?

Voting for Obama will turn out to be the worst decision you ever make.

He is going to tax the heck out of the business man to give to those who make little or dont work at all.

If you dont make over 250k a year you are still the person who will be paying the taxes...

You see, his plan wont work.

If you tax the big companies to death (he's gonna raise taxes substantially) then they will do one of two things...

They will leave the country to do their business like most already have or they will simply pass their tax costs down to you, the employee and the consumer.

This is just one reason not to vote for Obama.

Republicans are in a world of hurt. Early voting is favoring Democrats by a wide margin. Now this is usually a Republican strength. Last time around they outworked Democrats in voter turnout but this time it looks like the Dems will run away with the numbers. Early voting is a great indicator of the overall turnout figures.

Don't get me wrong. Republicans are very nice people, its just the extreme right wing, nit wits (the flag pin crowd) who shed a bad light on Republicans.

One thing is certain: The USA will again, have respect from the rest of the world.
