Barack on Working Women in Albuquerque

Sen. Barack Obama today held a round table talk at the City Government Library in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Speaking on the subject of working women, Barack recalled how his own late mother had to work while attending school when he was a child. At certain times, the family needed food stamps to put enough on the table.

Barack promised to fight for pay equity for single working mothers, like his own mother. Currently women make only 77 cents for every dollar that a man makes for the same work.

Here is part of what Barack discussed at the round table.
