Barack Obama holds Town Hall in Springfield, Missouri

Sen. Barack Obama held a town hall meeting in Springfield, Missouri that was broadcast live on barackobama.com.

Barack has been surging in the state lately and the campaign sharply expanded its infrastructure in response.

Among the subjects Barack discussed included healthcare, especially the need for expansion of preventative care, and the need for holding big business accountable for environmental degradation.

Barack plans to post legislation on the internet for comments, and to have his Cabinet hold town hall meetings to discuss issues with ordinary people rather than simply interacting with lobbyists.

His administration will also restrict appointees from taking lobbyist jobs.

Sen. Obama also accommodated an audience member who asked for a fist bump.

In other news, John McCain continued his negative ad campaign with a new television spot that flashes pictures of Britney Spears and Paris Hilton over the background of Obama's Berlin speech, in trying to downplay Barack's celebrity.
