Obama too likable?

A sign that Barack Obama's campaign is making headway came in recent articles and blogs questioning whether the senator was "too likable" or not. Certainly it would be favorable for Obama is that was the biggest question that could be mustered against his candidacy.

I don't see need for a change in course for the Obama campaign based on poll numbers as suggested in some blogs. Joe Biden is right when he says that most Americans are not deciding on a candidate at this time. Voters in this country don't typically start thinking seriously about candidates until maybe two months before they have to vote. Many only make up their mind in the last week, or even in the voting booth itself. They behave quite differently than political junkies who often make their choice many months or even years ahead of time.

In other news, an Ohio man with a large knife and without identification was arrested outside of Barack Obama's hotel in Iowa yesterday. The Secret Service does not consider the man, Davit Zakaryan, 24, as a threat to the presidential candidate.

Was reading a USA Today story comments earlier and someone wondered why people like him. Most every comment on the article was negative. The usual "He's a Muslim" (Fox news told me so) garbage. I like him because he has the audacity to want to change things for the better. No more "this is the way it has always been done...".
