Making Contact

More than a thousand groups hit the streets yesterday often making contact with people who have never been involved in the electoral process.

Here in Sacramento, we registered about 160 new voters in some of the poorer neighborhoods in the area. Obama supporters went in pairs or larger groups to knock on doors with two groups working each different sides of the same street. A precinct captain handled each group of walkers.

The reception to Obama was great and many signed up for the Sacramento for Obama group.

I made a video capturing a little of what happened on this great nationwide grassroots campaigning day.
