Obama says Giuliani using 'politics of fear'

Barack Obama rebuffed comments by Republican candidate Rudy Giuliani suggesting the risk of another terrorist attack if Democrats are elected into office.

"Rudy Giuliani today has taken the politics of fear to a new low and I believe Americans are ready to reject those kind of politics," Obama said in a statement. "America's mayor should know that when it comes to 9-11 and fighting terrorists, America is united. We know we can win this war based on shared purpose, not the same divisive politics that question your patriotism if you dare to question failed policies that have made us less secure," Obama said.

Obama campaign hires big media agencies

The Obama team has enlisted the services of Omnicom Group's GMMB and independent SS&K to help with media strategy and buying.

SS&K will also help "on non-traditional media and outreach and mobilization of young voters," campaign spokesperson Bill Burton said.

GMMB is one of the largest media-buying agencies for the Democratic Party. SS&K handles commercial clients that include Anheuser-Busch and Citibank.
