In Atlanta, organizers said they broke a fundraising record of $500,000 set by John Kerry when 600 supporters showed up for Barack at a downtown hotel.
Expectations for Obama's war-chest will be less than that of candidates like Hillary Clinton and John McCain as Barack's operation was still in the building stages for most of this quarter. It however appears to be going full swing now and the next reporting at the end of June will be a better measure of his fundraising prowess.
The big community kickoff will launch this Saturday and we may see the fruits of these efforts in polls released that cover voter opinions over this week.
