Intriguing past continues to make headlines

An article at The Times website examines the 'colorful' family of Obama and his diverse cultural heritage.

Raised in Hawai'i and Indonesia, Obama has Kenyan and Indonesian half-siblings.

According to a U.S. News & World Report article one of his exploratory committee aides said that the candidate hopes to woo new faces into the Iowa caucus.

"The question for us will be whether we can get those people who are outside the voter file," said the aide. The Obama camp has said that attracting new voters not found in current databases into the "movement" is a key component of their campaign strategy.
