President Barack Obama spoke before the United Nations General Assembly today saying that he was ready for a new relationship between nations.
Obama outlined his principles for this new relationship:
- Disarmament and non-proliferation.
- Peace and security.
- Preservation of our planet.
- World economy that offers opportunity for everybody.
Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi spoke for about an hour on various subjects and also praised Obama, and UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon called a renewal of the spirit of unity between nations -- a spirit in which the UN was created.
