Obama meets with experts on health care

President Barack Obama is continuing his discussions with health care leaders saying that "the country is geared up" for health care reform.

The group focused yesterday on saving health care costs. Today they will be discussing best practices currently in use that can be applied to the system as a whole. He cited specific companies that have had success in reforming their health care systems.

Obama also talked about preventative measures as a method of reducing costs.

"We're doing some stuff on health care because I think the country is geared up, businesses are geared up, families are geared up to go ahead and start solving some our extraordinary health care system problems," Obama told reporters.

I'm glad that Obama met with leading health care experts--I think it's one of the most effective ways to show that he is taking the issue seriously and with passion. I hope the health care reform becomes successful.
