Illinois House Impeaches Blagojevich

The Illinois House of Representatives voted 114-1 on Friday to impeach Gov. Rod Blagojevich for attempting to sell President-elect Barack Obama's vacated U.S. Senate seat.

Obama had called for Blagojevich to resign after details of the scandal were exposed. The governor refused though and eventually appointed former state attorney general Roland Burris to Obama's seat.
