Hollywood and Silicon Valley help fund inauguration

The array of balls and other events scheduled for the inauguration is not paid for with taxpayer money.

Private contributors shell out money in exchange for VIP tickets and special recognition at the historic event.

Here is a list of Hollywood stars and high-tech executives who have contributed to the presidential inauguration fund. The maximum donation is $50,000.

Steven Spielberg and his wife, Kate -- $50,000 each.

Halle Berry -- $50,000

Jamie Foxx -- $50,000

Sharon Stone-- $50,000

Google CEO Eric Schmidt -- $25,000

Google co-founder Larry Page -- $25,000

Google vice president Marissa Mayer -- $25,000

Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer and wife Connie -- $50,000 each.

Earvin "Magic" Johnson -- $25,000

Five members of George Soros family contributed a total of $250,000.
