Obama picks OMB Director

President-elect Barack Obama named his pick for OMB Director today. Pledging to cut wasteful budget spending Obama announced that he will choose Peter R. Orszag director of the Office of Management and Budget.

The announcement comes as a Case-Shiller survey reveals a record 16.6% annual decline in home prices over the summer to compound the steady stream of bad economic news.
