Former Senate Candidate Jack Carter Cites Obama's Ability to Unify and Inspire Hope

LAS VEGAS, NV - Obama for America today announced the support of several key Democratic leaders in Nevada, including former candidate for the U.S. Senate, Jack Carter. Citing Barack Obama's integrity and unique ability to bring people together, these leaders know Obama is the one candidate who puts aside partisan politics and offers change we can believe in.

"Senator Obama has impressed me over the last year with the consistency and quality of his message," Obama supporter Jack Carter said. "But I am even more impressed by his constant refrain to join together to fight the divisiveness in Washington and turn our energy to solving the problems which confront us all. I believe Senator Obama has the message, the desire, and the enthusiasm to bring our country together in a smashing victory in November," continued Carter.

"I'm proud to have the support of these leaders who have encouraged the movement for change in Nevada and across the nation," said Senator Barack Obama. "Their efforts during the week leading up to the caucuses will ensure our grassroots movement succeeds on Caucus Day."
