California Absentee Ballots Due Feb. 5

First absentee voters in California should note that ballots must be received at the registrar's office by Feb. 5. A postmark is not good enough.

If you are in doubt that it will arrive on time, you can deliver it personally to your county voter registrar's office.

You can also vote early even if you aren't an absentee or mail voter and avoid long lines on Super Tuesday. You do this by voting in person at the registrar's office during business hours. Some counties also have special early voting sites set up in shopping malls and other public places with information available from the registrar's office.
