Boston Globe endorses Barack Obama

The influential Boston Globe newspaper endorsed Barack Obama today offsetting an endorsement by the Des Moines Register of Hillary Clinton.

Influential throughout New England, including the early state of New Hampshire, where voting occurs on Jan. 8.

"It is true that all the other Democratic contenders have more conventional resumes, and have spent more time in Washington," the Globe's editorial board wrote.

"But that exposure has tended to give them a sense of government's constraints. Obama is more open to its possibilities."
