Last week, Sen. Tom Rielly endorsed Obama.
Heckroth noted Obama's “refusal to accept money from” political action committees or federal lobbyists “prove to me he’ll bring much needed change to Washington D.C.”
Washington Mayor Adrian M. Fenty also announced today that he will endorse Obama tomorrow.
Fenty held off in supporting a candidate but it became apparent he would endorse Obama after his campaign manager Jim Hudson arranged a recent fundraiser for Obama that netted $600,000. Hudson also announced three DC city council endorsements for Obama: Yvette M. Alexander, Muriel Bowser and Tommy Wells.
"He's our Bobby Kennedy," Wells told reporters.
