Barack Obama is fortunate in that he appears to have two states that are rallying behind him. His adopted home state of Illinois, and Hawai'i, the state of his birth and most of his youth.
Although, Barack recently suffered a hit in Hawai'i when Sen. Daniel Inouye endorsed Hillary, he still appears to have a stronger influence in the state than other candidates.
One Honolulu metro supporter, Bettye Jo Harris, is arranging a "spiritual unity" rally for Obama at the Trinity Missionary Baptist Church on Hickam Air Force Base. The event on June 24 will be part of the week-long Juneteenth celebrations, the nation's oldest commemoration of the ending of slavery.
