3,000 attend Barack Obama's Minnesota kickoff fundraiser

A crowd of 3,000 paid between $15 and $25 to attend a grassroots fundraiser for candidate Barack Obama's Minnesota kickoff Saturday.

Obama was introduced by Rep. Keith Ellison and Minneapolis mayor R.T. Rybak, who were the first mayor and congressman to endorse Obama.

The low ticket entrance is part of an Obama campaign strategy geared at the senator's many young supporters.

Obama's online fundraising efforts have easily topped the campaign goals of 250,000 donors and 350,000 donations for the year.
