Bush's low ratings could bode well for Obama

The recent Newsweek pool has George W. Bush's favorable ratings down to 28 percent the lowest ever since the days of Jimmy Carter.

This may be yet another indication of the unpopularity of the Iraq War as the poll was conducted on Mar. 2 and 3 after Bush vetoed the Iraq War bill on Mar. 1.

Most analysts appear to concede that the war will be the main issue of the election, and Barack is well-positioned as the favorite of the anti-war crowd.

Another good bit of news about that poll is that Barack was rated as the most optimistic of all the candidates, a position usually held by Republicans.

Obama is New York this weekend to attend four events including a fundraising dinner in Scarsdale.
