Barack Obama will announce health care plan in Iowa City

Barack Obama announced he will unveil specifics on his health care plan in a speech on May 29 in Iowa City.

According to Obama spokesperson Karen Kornbluh the plan had three main facets: (1) a national pool for those that don't have health insurance, with subsidies going to those who can't afford the group rates; (2) better preventive care and technology to reduce paperwork and costs; and (3) catastrophic insurance to help businesses and families avoid bankruptcy and reduce premiums.

Obama will also make campaign trips to Nevada where he will attend rallies in Las Vegas and Reno at the end of May.

Hillary Clinton attracted at a large crowd at a rally in Reno. Nevada is one of four early voting states along with Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina.
