Obama denies softening stance on Iraq

Senator BarackObama denied claims that he has wavered in his position on Iraq as claimed by his presidential opponents and on various political blogs.

Obama said neither he nor the majority of Congress were interested in cutting fund for troops in the field but that they would “keep on ratcheting up the pressure to try to make the President see we’re on the wrong course and have him respond to Congress and the American people.”

The senator's redeployment calls for pulling out all combat troops by March of next year.

Fundraising totals to be announced Wednesday

According to news reports, the Obama campaign will unveil information on its first quarter fundraising this Wednesday.

The delay may have been caused by the large number of donations received during the community kickoff event that occured on the last day of fundraising. Many youthful and other Obama supporters, lacking credit cards, may have contributed by check further delaying the tally.
