Barack not in it for second

Barack Obama told David Letterman "No, you don't run for second," when asked if he would like to be Hillary Clinton's vice-president. The candidate did seem to acknowledge that an Obama-Clinton ticket though would be "powerful."

He also said that his family was handling the demands of the campaign well but joked that: "I'm not getting back to Chicago very often. ... My wife is starting to refer to me as her first husband. It's a little disturbing."

In addition to appearing on the Letterman show, Obama continued his fundraising exploits in New York City attending three big money events.

Tonight, Barack, Hillary Clinton and John Edwards will attend a virtual townhall meeting conducted by MoveOn.org and focused on the Iraq War.
