More early support for Obama

Rep. Adam Smith became the first representative from Washington state to endorse Sen. Barack Obama during a congressional breakfast held by 14 House members Wednesday.

The senator announced an idea to change the funding scheme for homeland security. The new plan would "ensure the funding is allocated based on the threats states face, not politics."
