New endorsements pour in

As expected, the Republicans reacted to Senator Barack Obama's historic annoucement yesterday, but the now-candidate also got an knock from across the pond in Australia. Prime Minister John Howard criticized Obama's firm and consistent stance against the Iraq War. I suspect there are many more overseas though that support the senator's views.

Here in the U.S., civil rights leader Jesse Jackson said that he would talk to all the candidates but that it's very likely he will endorse Obama. Today, the candidate also received endorsements from Iowa Attorney General Tom Miller and Iowa State Treasurer Michael Fitzgerald.

In Hollywood, David Geffen and Jeffrey Katzenberg are now reportedly endorsing Obama, while the other partner of Dreamworks SKG, Steven Spielberg is reportedly supporting both Obama and Hillary Clinton.
