TV Ad: Celebrity and Bear Hugs

Obama for America released today the television ad "Embrace" that gives a humorous response to McCain's "celebrity" ads.

The ad features a number of McCain-Bush bear hugs, hence the title, and suggests that McCain is the greatest celebrity in Washington here he has been a favorite of special interest lobbies.

Barack Obama's campaign released a new television ad addressing the negative attack ad blitz by the McCain camp.

The ad titled "Low Road," shows newspaper quotes refuting the attacks and then outlines Obama's correct positions including a $1,000 middle class tax cut, and an energy plan that breaks dependence on foreign oil an invests in clean renewable energy.

'Achieve' Airs in Montana

Here is Barack Obama's new TV ad campaign for Montana. Entitled "Achieve," the ad addresses the rising cost of living and the difficulty in saving, which is due mainly to the rising price of oil. Barack's energy policy calls for increased energy independence.

In the television ad "Nothing's Changed," airing in West Virginia, Barack talks about the record profits at Exxon and the high gas rates. He also reminds us that he does not take money from Washington lobbyists.

North Carolina GOP to run anti-Obama Ad

The North Carolina Republican Party, apparently at the urging of Sen. John McCain, will begin running television ads attacking Sen. Barack Obama.

The ads will attack specifically Obama's former pastor Rev. Jeremiah Wright and thus the Illinois senator through association.

I guess this indicates who the GOP thinks will win, or does not want to win for their own sakes.

Obama Response to Clinton Fear Ad

The Obama campaign released a new television ad today to counter Hillary Clinton's fear ad. Here is what campaign spokesperson Bill Burton had to say about the Clinton attack.

When Senator Clinton voted with President Bush to authorize the war in Iraq, she made a tragically bad decision that diverted our military from the terrorists who attacked us, and allowed Osama bin Laden to escape and regenerate his terrorist network. It's ironic that she would borrow the President's tactics in her own campaign and invoke bin Laden to score political points. We already have a President who plays the politics of fear, and we don't need another.

New TV Ad: 'Billy'

The Obama campaiign unveiled a new television ad for Pennsylvania today.

The ad features Sen. Barack Obama talking about a legislator who went on to work for a pharmaceutical company.

The pharmaceutical industry wrote a prescription drug plan provision that prevent Medicare from negotiating with drug companies, and the chairman of the bill's committee left Congress after the legislation passed to take a multi-million dollar job with the pharmaceutical industry.

Barack is the only candidate in the race who doesn’t take special interest PAC or lobbyist money, and he’s the only candidate who has passed legislation to curb special interest influence in politics.

Quiet began airing yesterday featuring Barack speaking about Washington’s failure to reduce our dependence on foreign oil and his efforts to tell Detroit's automakers that he won’t allow them to block higher fuel standards for our cars.

Maya, which begins today, features Barack’s sister, grandmother, and wife discussing the values that Barack will bring to the White House and his commitment to give every child the same opportunities that his own daughters have.



One Voice begins airing today and highlights Barack’s belief that we can unite together as a country to deal with challenges and encourages Americans to take charge of the political process.



In Mother, which begins today, Barack tells how his mother suffered from a failing health care system as she fought with cancer. He commits to reforming our nation’s health care system. Obama’s universal health care plan covers all American and will cut costs for the typical family by $2,500 per year.

Today, our campaign began airing a new TV ad in Pennsylvania titled "For Decades." In the ad, Barack reminds voters that politicians have been talking about protecting jobs for decades while allowing Washington lobbyists to block change.

Barack is the only candidate who doesn’t take money from federal lobbyists and special interest PACs. As President, he will take on the special interests to fix our trade laws, end tax breaks for companies that ship jobs overseas, and give them to companies that create jobs here in America.
